Bengaluru Launches Unified travel app for metro auto and cabs

City commuters have a new reason to celebrate — navigating Bengaluru just got a whole lot simpler. A newly launched mobility app now allows users to book metro rides, auto-rickshaws, and cabs all from a single platform.

This initiative, led by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), aims to streamline urban travel and reduce the hassle of juggling between multiple apps. The integrated app offers real-time metro schedules, live cab and auto availability, and digital ticketing — all in one place.

"With this app, we’re taking a step closer to seamless mobility. You no longer have to worry about switching between Ola, Uber, or Namma Metro apps — everything you need for your commute is now under one roof," said a senior official involved in the project.

The app supports digital payments and features a route planner, helping users choose the fastest and most economical travel option. For example, a commuter heading from Indiranagar to Majestic can now compare the cost and time of taking a metro-auto combo versus a direct cab.

Tech enthusiasts and daily commuters have welcomed the move, calling it a much-needed step towards a "smart city" ecosystem. College students and office-goers in particular are expected to benefit from the app’s integration with Bengaluru’s existing public transport infrastructure.
