Great Innovation Requires Great Recognition
REMARKABLE INVENTION OF WORLD WIDE WEB ON AUGUST 1
In **1989**, a British scientist named Tim Berners-Lee came up with the idea for the **World Wide** Web while working at CERN, a big science center in Europe. His idea was to help scientists from different places share information more easily. Before this, it was hard and slow to send information between universities and countries. Tim's invention made it possible to create and read pages of information using the internet. IT WAS LAUNCHED ON 1st AUGUST, 1991.
In 1993it was made open to public for free. This meant anyone could use it and make websites. That simple decision changed the world. People started using the Web to talk, learn, work, and share ideas with others across the globe. The Web helped connect people, break down barriers, and made many things in life easier and faster.
It happened in the same period as other big tech moments, like the first mobile phone call and the start of the Linux computer system in 1991. But the Web was special because it gave everyone a chance to share their voice and connect with the world. Today, we use the Web every day — for school, work, health, and keeping in touch. Looking back, Tim Berners-Lee's invention was not just smart — it helped change life for people all over the world.
