Man Arrested in Lucknow for Alleged Abuse of Stray Dog

Lucknow police have detained a 24 year old man on charges of sexually abusing a stray dog in the citys Patrakarpuram locality. The incident reportedly came to light after local residents raised an alarm and informed the police.

According to officials, the accused was taken into custody soon after the complaint was lodged. Veterinary assistance was provided to the animal, and its condition is being monitored. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Indian Penal Code.

Authorities stated that further investigation is underway, including the recording of witness statements and collection of evidence.
