NCERT to integrate modules on Operation Sindoor for classes 3-12

The Ministry of Education confirmed that the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has decided to integrate modules on Operation Sindoor to familiarise students with India's military, scientific advancements, defense strategies and diplomacy. 

The modules will be 8 to 10 pages long and will be divided into 2 parts. The first one will cater classes 3-8 and the other for 9-12. Following the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025 which claimed the life of 26 innocent civilians on the grounds of communal antipathy, India launched Operation Sindoor.

This surgical missile strike was launched on the 7th of May, 2025 as a punitive, aiming to dismantle terror bases across the LOC and deeper inside Pakistan. A discussion on this awaits in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament. Apart from this the modules will also incorporate sections on the Partition of India, Mission LiFE that promotes sustainable living practices, G-20 Summit and India's solar missions.
