PG Admissions Halted in 113 Colleges by Marathwada University Over Serious Irregularities
The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) in Maharashtra has stopped postgraduate (PG) admissions in 113 colleges after finding several irregularities in how these colleges were running their PG courses.
This major decision came after the university found that many colleges did not follow proper rules, such as not having enough qualified teachers, not submitting documents, or not getting permission from the university's governing body.
A committee appointed by the university found that these colleges were offering PG courses even though they didn’t meet the required academic and infrastructure standards. Some didn’t even have proper teaching staff for PG-level education.
The irregularities came to light during the new academic session’s admission process. As a result, the university decided to stop the entire PG admission process in these colleges until the issues are resolved.
This decision will impact hundreds of students who were planning to take admission. Many students and parents are now worried about their future, and are demanding clear answers from the college authorities.
University officials have said that the colleges will only be allowed to admit students again once they fix the issues and get fresh approvals.
This step has been taken to ensure quality education and strict rule-following in higher education. It sends a strong message that colleges cannot run PG courses without proper permission and facilities.
