Rahul Gandhi Alleges Lok Sabha Elections in Karnataka Were Stolen Blames Election Commission

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has claimed that the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka were manipulated, accusing the Election Commission of India (ECI) of playing a role in what he called “theft of democracy.”

Speaking to the media, Gandhi revealed that Congress conducted a detailed investigation into one Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka. According to him, the probe uncovered “blatant cheating,” including suspicious voter list changes and irregularities in voting patterns. He said the seat was “stolen,” not lost, and hinted that similar problems were seen in Maharashtra too.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that when the party asked the Election Commission for access to CCTV footage and complete voter data, the EC refused and instead changed procedures to avoid giving them the information. He questioned the Commission’s neutrality and asked if it had become the “election chori (theft) branch” of the ruling party.

He also raised alarms about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process currently happening in Bihar, suggesting that the ECI is now trying to manipulate voter lists there after Congress exposed the Karnataka pattern.

Gandhi said the Congress party spent six months studying the system and now understands how manipulation was done. He promised a major exposé in the coming days, backed by strong evidence.

His remarks have triggered political debate, with questions being raised about transparency, accountability, and fairness in the electoral process.
