Rahul Gandhi Says Only Modi Government is Blind to Failing Indian Economy

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has strongly criticised the Modi government, claiming that the Indian economy is in serious trouble while only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman remain unaware of it.

Speaking at a public event, Gandhi said that while citizens across the country are grappling with inflation, unemployment, and slowing growth, the Centre continues to claim all is well. “Everyone can see the state of the economy—be it the poor, middle class, or small business owners. But the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister don’t see it,” he remarked.

Gandhi’s comments come amid increasing opposition attacks on the BJP-led government over its handling of economic challenges. He accused the government of ignoring real issues on the ground while focusing on headlines and PR.

The Congress leader’s remarks are part of a larger narrative ahead of upcoming elections, as opposition parties try to corner the BJP on matters of economic distress and governance.
