Terror Sympathiser with Al-Qaeda Links Caught from Bengaluru by Gujarat ATS

Gandhinagar-A man suspected of having links with terror group Al-Qaeda was arrested by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) from Bengaluru. The accused is believed to be a sympathiser of the terror group and was allegedly involved in spreading extremist ideology online.

According to Gujarat ATS officials, the suspect had been under surveillance for some time. He was reportedly in contact with Al-Qaeda operatives and was sharing radical content to influence youth. The arrest was made as part of a larger investigation into terrorist networks trying to expand their base in India.

The accused had reportedly been living in Bengaluru for the past few years and used encrypted apps to communicate. Authorities said he was also active on social media, where he tried to spread radical ideas and recruit supporters.

During the arrest, several digital devices and documents were recovered from him, which are now being examined. ATS sources said this could lead to more arrests if links to other terror modules are found.

The Gujarat ATS has taken the man into custody and is currently questioning him. They are also working closely with central agencies to track any further leads.

Officials have assured that security forces are actively monitoring such threats and will take strict action against anyone trying to spread terrorism in the country.
