Wife of UP Police Constable dies by hanging due to alleged harassment

PTI reported that on Sunday, Saumya Kashayap, wife of constable Anurag Singh who's currently posted in Eagle Mobile at Bakshi ka Talab station, committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in her home.

The incident came to light after she posted a video on social media, accusing her in-laws of harassment by forcing her husband to remarry and also claimed that her brother-in-law had threatened to kill her. 

The police have informed Saumya’s parents who have left from Manipuri for Lucknow. The officials have confirmed that a case will be registered upon receiving their complaint.
